About this wine

Character

An orange wine made from Pinot Grigio that takes a different path: pomegranate-seed red in the glass, dry, piquant, with noticeable tannin. The 12.5% ABV feels delicate and carries the wine's invigorating drive. A wine for meditation and indulgence.

Terroir and origin

Foradori farms in Campo Rotaliano, a valley plain in Trentino wedged between three-thousand-metre peaks. Over millennia, the Noce river has deposited limestone, porphyry and granite from the Dolomites here. By day the rock walls reflect the sun, by night cool mountain air flows through the valley. Ripeness and freshness sit closely together in this wine.

Grape variety and vinification

Pinot Grigio, vinified in collaboration with Marco Devigili, a biodynamic winegrower from Campo Rotaliano. The wine spends more than eight months on the skins in tinajas, the estate's Spanish clay amphorae. Skin contact brings colour, grip and structure, revealing the variety's delicate character.

On the palate

On the nose, rosehip and orange, wild raspberry, an abundance of fresh Mediterranean herbs and stony notes, sweet fruit and compactness in harmony. On the palate, immediate piquancy and a gripping structure, the tannin suits the wine well, herbal and fresh notes keep it lively right through the finish.

Distinctive features

Spanish clay amphorae shape the estate's work, and the Pinot Grigio follows this same path. Foradori farms 28 hectares under Demeter certification, and the label carries the Demeter logo.
