About this wine
Character
The Vosne-Romanée "Harmonie" AOC 2023 is the village wine of Arnaud Sirugue and Sophie Noëllat. It favours finesse over weight: 13.0% vol., dry, a clear, transparent ruby red in the glass. A seriously crafted Pinot Noir that stays light on the palate and lingers long.
Terroir and origin
The cuvée comes from parcels covering all zones of the appellation: Réas and Croix Blanches, along with Communes, Chalandins and Bossières to the north, and Barreaux, which borders directly on Cros Parantoux. Since 2023, the couple has farmed twelve hectares in Vosne-Romanée.
Grape variety and vinification
Pinot Noir, vinified with minimal intervention and no more than 20% whole clusters. Ageing lasts up to 15 months in pièces with around 30% new oak, which supports the structure without masking the fruit.
On the palate
The bouquet is as discreet as it is lingering: red and black cherry, pomegranate and wild raspberry, with peony, a touch of sandalwood with oriental undertones and a hint of aged meat in the background. The palate is light-footed and refined, yet intense, carried by a silky acidity and a finely polished tannin structure. Depth without heaviness, with a playful edge.
Special features
Sophie Noëllat carries on the sixth generation of Domaine Michel Noëllat, Arnaud Sirugue the fifth of Domaine Robert Sirugue. In 2023 the two fully took over the Sirugue legacy and completed the new cellar. Their formula for the wines: precision and finesse.
