About this wine
Character
A Pinot Noir that conveys its origin through clarity. At 12.5% vol., the wine stays slender in build, the fruit presents itself unadorned, and the structure is finely wrought and fine-grained. Nothing about this Burgundy pushes itself forward: it shows drive, a cool core, and a transparency that lets even the quieter notes come through.
Terroir and origin
The "Les Langecourts" climat belongs to the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. The 2023 vintage followed a warm summer, yet here it still produced a wine of cool, mineral-grounded stature — a freshness that doesn't deny the vintage but gives it order.
Grape variety and vinification
100% Pinot Noir. The élevage puts the variety front and centre: no oak tone lies over the fruit, and the wine stays dry with no sweet edge. The moderate 12.5% vol. keeps it lithe and leaves room for the acidity.
On the palate
Taut and focused, carried by fine-grained tannin and lively acidity. Wild berries and morello cherry remain present, underscored by fine earthy tones and restrained spice. The finish stays linear and cool.
Food pairings
With rosé-cooked duck breast, classic boeuf bourguignon, or roast pheasant. Braised veal cheeks and mild Comté also find their counterpart in this fine acid structure.
Special features
The low alcohol content of 12.5% vol. shapes the style of this red wine right through to the finish: fresh, understated, with breed rather than bulk.
